Sometimes events don’t come with months of planning.

Whether it’s welcoming a new baby, celebrating a retirement or promotion, or simply a date that arrived sooner than expected, plans don’t always unfold slowly.

As much as we’d like it to, sometimes life doesn’t give us much notice.

At the end of last year, we were asked to support Missing Link’s Christmas party celebration... with only a matter of weeks to bring everything together.

It was right in the middle of the busiest season of the year, but that didn’t matter. From day one, ideas were already taking shape. From suggesting and securing venue options to designing the menu and planning the logistics, everything came together far quicker than expected.

When everyone is working towards the same goal, ideas begin to flow and the whole team comes together. That’s often how the best events are planned.

Pulling an event together in a short space of time can feel stressful from the outside.
But behind the scenes, it’s about staying calm, making clear decisions, and trusting the process.

In just a couple of weeks, we designed a menu to match the atmosphere they wanted to create, secured a venue, sourced fresh local ingredients, and carefully planned the preparation so the evening itself would feel smooth and relaxed.

Step by step, it all came together.

The event was a huge success and a perfect reminder of what can happen when the right team comes together.

At Mark’s Kitchen, our team is driven by passion, creativity, and a genuine love for what they do. It’s this care and attention that allows even short timelines to feel calm, considered, and completely seamless.

We never work from fixed menus, which means every event is shaped around the people in the room and the atmosphere you want to create.

Because the reality is: in the end, it isn’t about how much time you had to plan.
It’s about how the moment feels when it finally arrives.
