Investing in young people - our first apprentice

We are really pleased to welcome Jaylan to the Mark's Kitchen team as our first apprentice. Jaylan has just completed an entry level catering course at City of Bristol College and is started a Level 2 Commis Chef course with our excellent training partners HIT Training. Catering is a fantastic career for people who are passionate about food, cooking and the hospitality industry. You don't need qualifications to enter the profession and it doesn't matter what background you are from. You just need a good work ethic, a passion for food or cooking, and the ability to learn and work well in a team. Supporting local young people with opportunities is something I'm very passionate about and it's a real pleasure to welcome Jaylan in to our business. He wanted to bake a cake for his job coach's birthday so spent his first shift making the marvellous cake.
